Obsession

Devotion to my desire

By Mark Stigers Published about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

In the shadow I hide

your every move I see

My time I abide

From me you are never free

Did you see me move

Did you hear me sigh

My soul does it soothe

As I watch your life go by

If you stop and look

I am never there

The little things I have took

I treat with loving care

I have a locket of hair divine

And one of your old socks

A log page that you signed

and a package you should have got

An altar to you I keep

A black candle and a flame

To meld with you I seek

Two hearts that beat the same

At work I see what you do

I know when you take a break

I know all you are up to

You’er my god for goodness’ sake

My fantasy you are

To your beauty I am drawn

To watch you from afar

For you how I long

You’ll never know my deeds

Nor the vows I make to you

You’re the only faith I need

To my god I will stay true

You will not my footsteps hear

Nor feel my breath upon your face

You will never know I’m near

I’m bound to your sacred grace
