I can tell you what happened after your death

The world kept spinning

Rotating on it's own dwindling timeline

Things came loud and fast

Then a peace

That could only be found in ignorance

Gone but not forgotten

You didn't love

Nor wanted me

Honestly you treated me like shit

Sometimes you liked to hit

Broken and shattered

Always asking why

Others always assumed I was timid and shy

You made sure that my pain never mattered

You kept my past a secret

Some say you didn’t know

Even so

You still delivered your blows

Now you’re gone

And I haven't shed a tear

Something in me died after all those years
