Someday you’ll be timeworn memories:

nostalgia stuffed in black bins, stale

holiday decor in my

mind’s basement. I’ll retrieve

them for a season—

discover they

discolor,

gather

dust.

heartbreak

So many layers to this!! You quite succinctly captured the phases of breaking up and the aftermath through time. Loved this one from you :)

I love this concept and your execution here! Great job painted the way time can fade and discolor even the most painful memories ❤️

There is something so striking about the realization that an emotional bond might transition overtime from earthmoving to nostalgic and eventually to little more than detritus. Your poem reads like a casual paradigm shift after an argument or the straw that broke the camel’s back. I love it when the labor that went into creating the art is invisible! Wonderful writing, Morgana!

Wow, another stunner from you, Morgana! This is so pretty, even though it's about the decay of memories we'd rather forget. It's written so eloquently. The whole thing is my favourite line, lol!
