November 17 Is National Butter Day
acrostic for Mikeydred's November Dollar Prompt
Bread tastes better with butter and pizza crust needs some too
Utterly smooth and soft, or cold from the fridge
Thinly layered, even beneath peanut butter, or
Thickly spread to the edges of the bread
Eat it, don’t overdo, and smile at the critics
Right amounts to your liking, are not that unhealthy, a little butter will do you, and won’t kill you, despite the doubters
Dabs, dollops, maybe some drips onto popcorn
Always add a pinch of salt to the butter on sourdough bread (because it tastes flat)
Yummiest for some is whipped, and especially in November, add it to the yams

A delicious poem! My Dad’s catch cry was “Butter is better for you!” He stuck by it & lived to almost ninety.🤩 My Mum loved butter & ate dollops of it straight!😵💫 She even slathered it onto cream buns!🤣 I like it, but only a thin scraping.😉
Now I'm craving buttered popcorn!
A lovely cheeky little Acrostic, Andrea. As the old slogan used to say Butter makes it better!
What a great acrostic about an everyday item we have in the fridge sitting out on a butter dish covered. Have you ever had a butter and sugar sandwich? They are really good and just may have one for lunch today. Good job.
Great acrostic poem! Last night I made Cowboy Swim Biscuits, they are called that because they are swimming in a stick of butter.
Goodness, butter has a day. Why not, it is yummy on everything...except the health 😂
This is a lovely acrostic Andi. And hooray for butter!
Such a lovely way to appreciate butter, Andi! Loved this acrostic.
I love butter, so does my dad, and I love your acrostic
Mmmm, now I feel like having toasted bread with butter! Loved your Acrostic!
