Nothing Like the Cards

A poem about real love

By Bryan BuffkinPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

Love is not what the cards always say

It’s cooking when he’s starving

It’s doing laundry when he’s at work

It’s midnight snack runs when she’s pregnant

It’s 2 A.M. diaper duty when she’s exhausted

It’s coming back home no matter what

And it’s beautiful when it’s done right

love poems
