Nothing In My Heart

nothing in my heart

By PoetsPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

My heart, it beats, for nothing at all,

No love, no joy, no happiness to call.

It's a void, that's empty, and dark as night,

With a pain, that lingers, and a hurt that's bright.

I've searched, for something, that could fill this space,

With a love, that's real, and a smile on my face.

But nothing has come, to light up my way,

And my heart, it beats, for nothing each day.

I've tried, to love, and to give it my all,

But nothing has come, to catch when I fall.

And so I stand, in the shadow of night,

With a heart, that beats, for nothing, but might.

But still, I hope, that one day I'll find,

A love, that's real, and a peace in my mind.

For my heart, it deserves, so much more than this,

And I know, that one day, I'll find my bliss.
