NOTHING EVER ENDS

One day we will drift apart

Because all the good things last only for a while

One day we won't be talking anymore

One day this thing between us will die

Even on those days I will remember you

I will remember your eyes

And how you looked at me ,with love

was it love ,I think it was

I will remember your smile

And how you laughed at my silly jokes

I will remember your wet hair

And how playful you were with them

I will remember that white linen shirt

And how you wore it even when you had a closet full of clothes

I will remember your poems

And how even though they weren't for me

It always seemed like they were

I will remember our conversations

And how it all went from the moon to politics to depression

I will remember you

Because all that you love must not be forgotten

Because somewhere I still love you

Because nothing ever ends.
