Notes By the Day

Everyday produces a new note, in the form of both thought and song.

Every morning

And at every mourning

The birds outside sing to my sadness

After every sleepless night

And through every restless evening

The rain orchestrates music on my window

In every hopeless day

Through every season

As my pen tap dances on my canvas

And the falling ink writes out its song

The winds play a symphony to my heart

And through days of distress

Through weeks of weeping

And months of misery

All gloom and all gray

And through every storm

Somehow

One note, and one day at a time

I sing through the sadness

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
