What do you make of the decline of Western civilization?

By Skyler SaundersPublished 7 years ago 1 min read
Still Alive

Western civilization may be getting killed.

The halcyon days may have ended.

When volumes of knowledge in minds are filled,

The wounds of culture may not have been mended.

The ideas of the Greeks speak through the years.

The Enlightenment saw thoughts come alive,

Through the attacks and the jeers.

It is thinking that exists for one to thrive.

The intellectual groundswell leads to the slaying.

Dances in the darkness by thinkers create shade

While the music keeps playing.

The ideas, ill or great continue to be made.

The state of ideas is not a geographic dread.

Western civilization is not yet dead.
