Not Writing About Hurt

Don’t want to draw inspiration from the hurt

Don’t want to write from my pain

And keep repeating the same thang

So over the negative feeling

Just want to write my healing

Even though the hurt is more appealing

Not writing in the gloom

Not letting my mind be consumed

Not leaving my heart doomed

Believing something good is coming soon

I hope you feel better soon, Emily. Do you need a smile poem? My wife has been stealing them lately, you can't trust anyone these days. Well Done poem.

I love the strong sense of resilience to this - wonderful, but brutally honest, writing, Emily!
