Sometimes, the hardest thing in the world
is not doing something, like not lighting
a cigarette, or not seeing your grandson.
You stop the smoking to be around for the grandson,
another one of your daughter's victims
in her quest to hurt the whole world,
and you're not allowed to see him
because your daughter is determined
that your life and heart don't matter
except to serve her while she asks
why you didn't love her enough
to have an abortion.

I took a little break and am trying to catch up here. So, this piece drew me in. I don't know what to say other than I am so sorry, Harper. I am in the process of quitting. Down to 5 ciggies a day, and I have a five-year-old grandson named Lennox. I can't imagine not seeing him. Sending hugs and a prayer for a resolution.
That is difficult. Sending hugs and hope for you
I'm sorry you're going through this misery. Life can be so hard to take.
Ach. I'm sorry you're going through this and sorry it's all I can do. Well done for not smoking as it's good for your health too. I hope your daughter gets her sanity back and lets you see your grandson. The little dude is fucking adorable.
This is heartbreaking to read. I hope there’s healing ahead and that you’re able to reconnect with your grandson someday.
I hope she changes her mind and you can see him soon
Oh, that is indeed hard and sad, Harper. I hope the time you do spend with your grandson has great bonding experiences so that he remembers you no matter what.
