Not In A Sapphic Way

The poem was inspired by a weird dream.

I love my friend, but not in a sapphic way

An aquitence said we should marry

It would never work cause we're not gay

It's just so his right hand has something to do

If one more night of celebacy gives him a freight,

He should brush up on his encyclopedia

I don't why he won't just hire a lady for the night

But he's too busy whinging through and through

Why is everyone bursting into song?

It makes me shiver thinking how cold they must be

wearing only a thin jacket and a thong

What's the protest of the day?

There's the ex-prime minister in his shorts,

Walking through a Queenless Country

Sadly, as I open my eyes and collect my thoughts

This last stanza is not a dream.
