Not Goodbye

Until We Meet Again, My Fur Buddy

By Misty RaePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

You won me over with those big brown eyes

And our hearts became as one

I never dreamed I see this day,

Yet here, it’s finally come.

I thought it’d be you to say goodbye

To grieve my departed soul

But here I sit without you now

Just wondering where to go.

Bruised and battered,

I’m all alone.

I’m broken,

But shall not bend.

Because I know that for us

This is not the end.

For someday soon, my precious pup,

I’ll see you yet again.

I’ll pick you up and kiss your nose

When we next meet,

My friend.
