Not Enough Hands in the World to Save You

Bittersweet Tragedy

There's nothing to serenade when there is no song to be sung... love to you is just a cruel game.

You told me I was crazy, no, I was just crazy in love.

It's amazing what someone in love would do.

You killed me, with a knife through my chest,

You held onto me while telling me

"There's Not Enough Hands in the World to Save You"

I thought it was a sweet sweet lullaby

Another serenade to fall for

But it was just yet another cruel joke

Of Bittersweet Paradise...

There was nothing there to embrace

So why should I feel this way?

Because you teased me,

You told me: "This is what we can have"

"Just wait a bit longer"

"The wait will be worth it," I told myself through so many tears

As I pulled out another Red Flag

that was embedded in my back.

I smiled through the tears

Blinded from the truth

As my love for you began to blur the red lines

He loves me, He Loves me, He loves me

I sang myself listlessly and repetitively to sleep...

Dreaming of a bittersweet tragedy

Played til the end by a role only a mere fool could play

The music faded away,

The spotlights went out

And the screen has faded to black

I still feel the pain

but it's all a blur now

I pray that,

After the blur fades to nothing at all

The lies we call love will crumble and fall
