Not Christmas Tree

But real, eternal tree

By Seema PatelPublished about a month ago 1 min read

The world is busy buying,

and decorating Christmas trees.

But what about the real trees?

Are you giving enough thought

and due respect to them?

I saw the jacaranda.

It is dormant now,

but come summer

you should see its purple glory.

It is pineapple guava season.

We picked pounds and pounds

of delicious fruits today.

The streetside elm trees

don’t give us flowers or foods,

but birds rely on it.

The sycamore trees

give habitat for many,

ecosystems in themselves.

All trees are precious.

They offer us

life-sustaining oxygen,

please respect them.

Life is not for

storytelling on Christmas trees,

but for celebrating

the real eternal trees.

Plant some in your life,

and that will be

your true legacy.

Good work on this one. Ever since childhood we have always had artificial trees for Christmas. I have planted trees and some flourish and some do not do so good.
