Nostalgia reform

A home reborn

By India GrantPublished 4 years ago 2 min read

A fractured fairytale of abundant broken beauty

There lies a tale of whimsical dance to childhood duty

A safe homage from the hated exterior

Escapes all the dread that makes her inferior

Her pixie pirouettes take upon the stage premiere Titled: Home

The heavy load she carried wherever she would roam.

The love she left; an abode birthed and theft

A break from sorrow blessed in the warmth she possessed

Is apprehensive to the lone man that she once caressed

The moss upon the grave has grown over time;

Its natural fragments dare show our crime

Nature is now where our memories lie

Oh! What we do only to survive.

A lost soul-bearing a heart bred with grief

Taken in the night by that devilish thief

It is time for the warrior to release her gun

This pretty ballerina has had her fun

The wanderer does return!

Praying to conquer that fires wicked burn!

The fear bouts the doubt; there is truth to figure out.

Identity forged within the fragments of a photo

Figments of our fathers' heritage do-follow

A place in the world where one did just fit

The scene where a young girls fairytale quit.

Yet, The gardenias do blossom just as memory forms

The sun rays bursting through those darkened thunderstorms

What timeless wonders of nature grow through the mind!

I put my faith in her to protect the family twined.

Fair, sweet nostalgia turn back those wicked currents of time!

Fend off the sorrow built within these enzymes!

For who would not wish to be a child once more?

Though, childhood never really escaped us at all

Innocent to the face of that darkness was theft

Unprepared for what life could possibly plan next

Though, youth escaped the family tree

I'm so glad you came back home to regrow it with me.

Where the magpies' colourful sweet tune does sing

Harmonizing with the kookaburras battle to be king;

What heartwarming melody to lift up our spirits!

Mother natures gifts will guide us to our happy merits

That fractured fairytale that once was

Now held in the healing hands of a childhood reformed.
