One word with many meanings
A color a community a label all Beauty
It is the absence of all light but in its nature it's personality shines bright Representation of power strength Authority elegance
The mere sight of it demands and commands attention
Heroes Kings Queen businessman presidents all wear it to show stature
Some of the most beautiful things are seen when the sky is this way we just call it night or shade
Shooting stars meteor showers constellations auroras
These things show beauty when the sky is black
But dont be fooled jack
Cause black is in fact someone's worst nightmare
Now let's take a step back
Black
Black as the melanin in my skin
My soul is dyed black by the tribal ancestors within that knew then what freedom was before being pushed upon boats and sailed across seas forced to be a white man's hoe.
My ancestors tell me to speak on things so that the future knows what this color means
To be black

Goodbye, Mr. Duvall
It is turning out to be an interesting year.
