No weight to bear

I used to chase shadows always near

friends that laughed loud but never sincere

They'd vanish like smoke at the break of dawn

Leaving me empty, alone ,withdrawn

I don't need their gaze or hollow praise

the games we played, the endless chase

with family's warmth, I'm anchored tight

In their eyes, I see the light

For fickle relationships, they traded true ties

They wore a mask of grown up lies

Ruined childhood bonds blurred and blind

Chasing shallow love, left truth behind

Some soft places still in my heart remain

I wish them luck despite the pain

Their friendship was nothing but detain

strangling me hard, a thorny chain

But now I'm free no weight to bear,

I've found my strength in love that's rare

No more masks no hollow cheer

Just open arms and voices clear

Friendship

Ohh! This is a very sad and deep poem. Truly, there is that pain in your words, the kind that is felt after betrayal in friendship. Purity is everything in friendship: respect, trust, and selflessness; without these, friendship has no existence. This is what everyone says.
