I’m numb, everywhere

Except where you kissed me last night.

Don’t read into it too much.

My feelings went 0 to 100

And it’s clear your feelings stood still.

I respect that.

That’s why I’ll ask silently as not to talk to tonight.

Just to lay there close

Watching TV or trying to sleep.

I’ll ask silently because I won’t ask at all.

I’ll live off what you give me

Because although I’m left feeling nothing all day

You become my only 5 senses all night.

So tonight

I’ll hold you a little tighter

Kiss you a little harder

Pull you a little closer

Show you myself a little less.

Because if you’re gonna disappear on me

I have to get used to being numb right?
