No one likes brown.

Ask any kid.

“What’s your favorite color?”

No kid likes brown.

Blue, purple, pink, and yellow.

All of these, and more!

Bright, dark, blended, simple.

But no kid likes brown.

My right is a rainbow!

Blue, purple, green, and yellow.

Shimmering iridescence.

Shafts of light dancing on my eardrum

Pride and pomp parading

in my hearing-tunnel.

The left?

Smears of mud clog its stream…

Waterless and void of color.

Except brown.

A yellow leaf, here and there, only to be smeared in

Brown.

No one likes brown.

Glance at the earth.

Though it is coated in colors,

What makes those colors dance?

Brown.

Color grows in brown.

As color grows in brown,

So flourishes resilience in disadvantage.
