No Longer Yours

The End Of Us

By Muhammad Waseem Published about a year ago 1 min read
....Painful 😖

I mourned your leaving, it made me cry,
But now that sorrow has said goodbye.
You filled my heart, my thoughts, my mind,
But now your memory’s left behind.

Your love was rare, a gift so true,
A shining star in skies so blue.
You were the one the world adored,
But now that praise is heard no more.

The one you hurt, who cared so much,
Once bloomed with joy in your sweet touch.
But now that bond is torn apart,
And left behind a quiet heart.

Your absence stole my words away,
Where once they soared, they’ve gone astray.
My poetry once reached the skies,
But now it fades, no spark survives.

In search of you, I broke in two,
A dream once bright, now lost from view.
That fire of love burned fierce and wild,
But now it’s gone, no trace, no smile.

I came to your door one final time,
And left, with questions that no longer rhyme.
Your name was once my life, my plea,
But now it holds no hold on me.
