No doubt, you are my portal out

The shape of you and the shape of me

By Rowan Finley Published 3 years ago 1 min read

No doubt, you are my portal out.

We'll do plenty of summersaults in raining skittles,

back-to-back, we'll scale up tight ally walls of hardened Jell-O,

we'll smell the steamy aroma of oceans of comforting hot chocolate,

we'll rescue the cutest of creatures, stuck on lonely, moth eaten plateaus.

No doubt, you are my portal out.

We'll see visions of splendid canyons, stirred with melting crayons,

back-to-back, we'll fight battles that the news channels never cover,

we'll respectfully break every last clock until time cannot find us anymore,

we'll discover ultimate purpose at the top of leathery mountains.

No doubt, you are my portal out.

We'll sing fiery melodies that are untouchable except by the clouds,

back-to-back, we'll ride on top of wild horses that don't know their names,

we'll win at losing humanity and lose at winning responsible rest,

we'll adventure on, into the ultra abyss of folly's freedom,

all the while, skillfully piercing the earth's heart.

This is pure magic—“Back-to-back, we’ll fight battles that the news channels never cover”—that line? Chills.✨ If this portal really existed, where’s the first place you’d want it to take you?
