No Distractions Required

Driving on dirt roads at sunset with high school friends

instead of alone on a busy westbound interstate,

swimming with my brothers on my days off of work,

taking time to write about life and summer freedom,

resting on the weekends with my love after a long week,

a concert or two with my friends that are like family,

colliding with an old friend at a corporate coffee place,

these are the things I’ve been spending my time on

instead of surrendering my time to the confinement of my room.
