no color

an inquiry into grayscale

By Rachel BeaulieuPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
tulips once vivid in grayscale

i want to be in a movie

want to star in one too

watch you gaze in technicolor

while your nostalgia flashes through

i want to destroy and create

while my heart is still blue

until it turns yellow

but i might not still be next to you

What do you do when your heart's turned blue

but the world is still in a pink hue?

i want my heart to close

for my eyes to be fixed

with no color there is no question

with no color there is nothing so complex

with no color there is no me.

with no color there is no you.

sad poetry
