We are kings

And we're the queens

Ruled over by the prince of peace

And we shine

With his love

For all the least of these

As the sun shines after darkest night

Burning hearts will take to flight

We choose joy

We choose hope

Gonna share the gospel everywhere we go

Darkness falls

Demons run

A good man went to war so the battles won

On our hearts

By your scars

A word was written there

Forgiven

By the son

Our guilt no more to bear

So again

We intend

To bring your kingdom down

Cause it's done

War is won

And you wear the victor's crown

Every day

Is a chance to show the world

All the ways

You've given us this hope

Every day

We'll go into the world

With bold new ways

We're shining out your hope

Recently I published my first novel, The Burning Ones, a sword-and-sorcery-and-cyborg adventure balancing the youthful angst of a coming-of-age story with the realities of a world plagued by war.
