The idea of facing one's fears through the medium of a nightmare.

Nightmare, oh nightmare,

Why do you haunt my sleep?

With your shadows and whispers,

My dreams you always creep.

You bring me fear and terror,

And I toss and turn in my bed.

With each passing hour,

My thoughts fill with dread.

But in the morning light,

You vanish without a trace.

Leaving me with memories,

Of a terrifying, haunting face.

Nightmare, oh nightmare,

Why do you torment me so?

I long for peaceful slumber,

Where your dark presence doesn't go.
