Please hold my hand and hug me tight

For the moon is up high on this dark night

My eyes will soon close as I am left to see

A horrible image of a man raping me

Please don't let go and squeeze more tight

For it's just begun and so has my fright

I feel the sweat as it pours out my hands

Over and over he makes his demands

I let him go and give up the fight

I am too worn and restless to last all night

Suddenly he is done and I am let free

Left all alone to cry in my misery

It's still not over

No

Not for me

For a shadow of his torment still follows me

A once wise man with a shrunken face

His pale white skin too hard to erase

So I hang my head and quietly cry

Longing for the day these nightmare will die
