Night falls
chasing the sun
and enveloping the warmth
that kissed our skin
not moments ago.
I used to be afraid
of the night
falling through the sky,
capturing hope, capturing light.
But now,
I find solace
in the cold arms of night falling,
crashing above.
For I fall into you,
keeper of the sun's embrace.
And the night falling,
doesn't seem so scary.
