This feels right—
never knowing what was missing
until compromise laid a steady foundation.
Each day becomes fulfilling
when loving foes connect in ways
that only build resilience.
We wrestle with feelings
everyone hopes won’t fade,
a tension that stirs anxious hearts.
The joy of chance
makes moments feel endless,
as our focus is stolen by one another.
We forgive less easily the mistakes
made beyond our shared circle,
yet we are blessed
with the chance to rewrite our history.
