When I got here, I was broken

It was raining, I was soaking

Thought I couldn’t give you up

I could never get enough

I thought your heart was tender

One kiss and I’d surrender

All I wanted was a taste

Of the lifestyle you would chase

I got dressed in a suit

Depressed and I was feeling blue

I know we sure gave it a try

Wish I still had you by my side

I thought your heart was tender

One kiss and I’d surrender

All I wanted was a taste

Of the lifestyle you would chase

You said you needed no one’s help

While falling all over yourself

I know you’d have mountains to climb

If the reaper just gave you some time

I thought your heart was tender

One kiss and I’d surrender

All I wanted was a taste

Of the lifestyle you would chase

I thought your heart was tender

One kiss and I’d surrender

All I wanted was a taste

Of the lifestyle you would chase
