Never Be Afraid to Sound a Lil' Silly
A Scatter Poem
Have you ever taken a walnut out for a test drive
They look like they'd make such comfy little buses with lil' coffee cup holders
Taking you where you dream to be
Across the spine of a thin blade of tree wavering like morning grass
Or what about a golf ball retro helmet
You'd have quite the hard head but at least you'll feel protected
Or how people got lazy with the word 'orange'
And decided that both the color and the fruit having the same name was okay
Cheap job
But great idea for boardgames, except if you need to rhyme
borange?
Sounds like the Lorax's cousin
Not sure what it'd be the protector of
Maybe of the half-baked ideas that pop out of our left ears
Especially under pressure
Like at a staff meeting
Where everyone makes you feel like you're wearing a clown suit and a golf ball helmet
Sporting the most ridiculous tie
Like one with old desktop computers on them, or parakeets
But borange?
Maybe that's the lame ass tie that got you feeling inadequate
And all you wish is that you could just take a peaceful ride in a walnut

This was brilliant! Well done! 💕
This is spectacular. The writing is amazing but the creativity is outstanding. I'll be looking at walnuts differently now lol
This is so much fun. 🩵
love your imagination
The protector of goofy ideas you get at three am? Cuz that'd be cool.
I find it stronge that nothing rhymes with orange
