Never Again

Should have Never

By Lola DaluPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I should have learned. I should have seen. Should have foreseen.

I should have known. Should have been strong. I should have never trusted.

I should have never let it happen. Never again.

He said, "learn from my mistakes."

He said, "learn from my history."

He said, "don't be like me."

He said, "Go! I'd take care of it."

He said many things.

Now I see you were as cold as ice. Your heart is black. You could be shades of grey on different days and angry as the deepest shade of red.

I should have learned. I should have seen. Should have foreseen.

I should have known. Should have been strong. I should have never trusted.

I should have never let it happen. Never again.

Someone else said many things.

He said, "he would pay."

He said, " he would take care of me, of us."

He said, "he would take me places."

He said, "he loved me, loved us."

I should have learned. I should have seen. Should have foreseen.

I should have known. Should have been strong. I should have never trusted.

I should have never let it happen. Never again.

He was the same as you. He was also cold as ice, and his heart was just as black.

I'll never forget, never truly forgive. I'll never let it go, never fail. Never again.

I'll never again trust, never again rely on anyone. I'll never again solely depend on someone. Never again.
