Neurodiversity As Superpower
By the fires of thought where the wild minds play, New paths emerge, in a bold, bright way.

Poem: Neurodiversity As Superpower
In a world cast gray by uniform pace,
Some minds sprint, others dance in grace.
Where silence speaks and chaos sings,
Neurodiverse minds grow wings.
A swirl of senses, sharp and vast,
Grasping meanings others passed.
Not broken, not wrong, not less than right,
But coded with a different light.
In classrooms loud, in boardrooms bland,
They fumble keys to understand.
Yet given space, given time,
They sculpt new rules in rhythm and rhyme.
The child who stares and sketches skies,
Hears symphonies no ear implies.
The teen who rocks in steady beat,
Solves puzzles others can’t complete.
A focus deep as ocean floors,
They find the keys to hidden doors.
Where scatter meets precision’s flame,
Originality stakes its claim.
An artist lost in color’s tone,
Finds galaxies in monochrome.
A coder bent on fractal code,
Maps out minds in logic’s mode.
They feel the world in richer hues,
Decode the lies, detect the clues.
While norms may stumble at the wall,
They fly above or tunnel through all.
What you call quirks, they call gift,
Their thoughts a cloud, their gaze a lift.
The stammered word, the drifting eye,
Conceals the stars that streak the sky.
In boardroom battles, quiet might,
They see the flaws beyond the sight.
They strategize in patterns spun,
Before the others have begun.
They do not seek to wear a mask,
To fit inside your silent flask.
They only ask that you allow
The way their brains are wired now.
The girl who doesn’t meet your stare,
Might calculate the stars up there.
The man who fidgets in his seat,
Might hear your heart’s unspoken beat.
Autism, ADHD, dyslexia’s flare—
Not burdens but a breath of air.
They challenge how we gauge the mind,
Rewriting what we’ve left behind.
Each mind a world, a living code,
Where genius walks a jagged road.
A map reformed, a structure bent,
A force the cosmos gladly sent.
We crave innovation, seek the new,
Then fear the minds that break right through.
But in their hands the future lies,
Beyond the realm of average eyes.
So speak of power when you name
These minds that never think the same.
Not in whispers, nor regret—
But with respect, and no vignette.
For every mind that’s wired bold
May find the truth your map can’t hold.
And every child who’s told, “You’re strange,”
Could be the spark that shifts the range.
They are not lost—they lead, they teach.
They’re simply out of standard reach.
Celebrate the fierce, the rare,
The minds with power none compare.
From temple halls to silicon labs,
They turn the tide, redraw the maps.
Not disabilities, but gifts disguised—
The future wears their shape and size.
So light a torch for all who strive,
To think, to feel, to stay alive
Outside the norm, beyond the grid,
With truths no hiding place can rid.
Their minds, a flame no cage can douse,
A world rebuilt without your house.
So step aside or learn to see—
Neurodiverse means truly free.
