Neon lights illuminate,
A starless city night,
Where once the ground was good and green,
The street reflects the light.
Stand beside a fallen tree,
And ask if they're impressed,
Of the steel and polished glass,
That's taller then the rest.
We have lost the greatest war,
A pyramid has but one peak,
foundations we abhor.
Id ask a million fireflies,
The way to set things right,
But silent lie the sullen dead,
Beneath these neon lights.
Thank you for taking the time to read. I do hope that it inspires someone to be more mindful of their impact in this world
