Neighborhood Watch
Not for burglars, but for gossip

Dwelling behind the gates of suburbia
Not living up to its hyperbole
Neighbors always prying
Pretending to watch their yard drying
I see you seeing me, Mike and Dawn
No, I'm not about to mow my lawn
No one is safer for your vigilance
Instead, annoyed by your insolence
A peep out your window as I arrive
Makes me burn alive
Your day must be spent meaninglessly
To live through mine vicariously
Close the door and draw the blinds
Drive us out of our minds
You’re not my paparazzi
You lawncare-Nazi
High castle walls for me
Or I’ll never be free
