Neat Silk Tie

What is the cost of opulence?

I am the man with the neat silk tie.

Trained in the art of being smooth and sly.

I have five wooden cottages, lovely and secluded.

So that when I seek peace it's no longer eluded.

I am the man with the neat silk tie,

Possessing friends only money can buy!

Traveling places both near and far.

Riding only in the hottest cars.

I am the man with the neat silk tie.

I have buildings that caress the skies.

I have the friendliest servants,

I have the cleanest tables.

I have six purebred horses;

Living in pure ebony stables.

I am the man with the neat silk tie.

There is no reason to sob or cry...

I have everything I need.

I'm sharp as a tack.

With the best security,

To watch my back.

I am the man with the neat silk tie.

I have no limit to how far I'll fly!

Spending billions to reach the stars

Being the first to orbit Mars.

I am the man with the neat silk tie.

Years have passed,

I have grown old and died.

Mourners have gathered, in their dark raiments.

To lay me to rest in the grave adjacent.

That is my story, I've told it all.

I was born to rise and fall.

Perhaps there was more to life than wealth.

Like Friendship, Laughter, Love and my health.

My river of prosperity has truly run dry.

I am the man with the neat silk tie.
