Beautiful, untouched snow

What a beautiful sight to see

Outside my bedroom window

It glitters and shines and gleams

Bringing a wonderland for all to see

How I wish I could run and jump and play

Until the sun descends below the horizon today

Telling me to warm up until we can play again the next day

~~~
Tiger lilies
Lining the gravel street
Bees seek your vibrant petals
Such a sweet scent
Replenishing memories of a childhood dream
I used to know
Some call you a weed
But they do not see the real you
Carefree as the breeze sweeps by
A beauty no one sees
Until it is time for you to leave
~~~

Flowers bloom as the sun chases the dark

Bringing beauty and joy for all to see

Their beautiful array of colors is their trademark

But this natural beauty comes with a fee

Now withering away and their beauty will disembark

To a memory we could not foresee
