Farewell, dear friend of the forest,
Your spirit now takes flight,
Leaving us with memories bright,
Of days you danced in the moon's soft light.
Your laughter like a melody,
Your wisdom deep as the ocean's tide,
In every flower, tree, and blade of grass,
Your spirit shall forever abide.
The birds sing a mournful tune,
The wind whispers a lullaby,
As we gather here under the moon,
To bid you a final goodbye.
Gone from this world of mortal men,
Yet in our hearts, you remain,
A guardian of this sacred glen,
A beacon of light in a world of pain.
May your journey be swift and true,
Through realms of light and shadow,
And may your spirit always be renewed,
In the arms of the great meadow."
