Nature Never Turns Back

Even After You Want To

By Halene Yencha Published 6 years ago 1 min read

You think about the ocean

For then it swallows you up

Your lips have felt the potion

The pleasure is in the cup.

No hand you cannot raise it.

No will you must embrace it.

To feel nothing you lay afloat

Closed, red eyes you see your bliss

To be still in time, your throat

Its last breathe you made it kiss.

Dark to light to deaf to frozen

You never imagined it to be like this

You dipped your toes and now your nose in

Nature has no compassion.
