Nature is the greatest of things, and has much to teach. There is much to learn from the cycle of life.

Humility is one of these lessons. The forces and elements of nature respect each other with grace and beauty. Animals cherish the shade trees and leaves bring, while trees and bushes each have their value.

To give up pride is never easy, but when done, may bring peace of mind.

Enjoy this tanka.

A bush looks up to the trees

Ant to shady leaf.

Even the tallest tree bows

To the breath of passing winds.

“Breath of passing winds” is a strong image, Michelle. I was drawn to this story because I used the same image from Unsplash for my very first story here on Vocal. Always draws me in.
