Natural Consequences

What did you think would happen?

I'm on fire.

A forest fire;

a quiet,

rolling roar.

Warning sign:

this

is where I'm at.

You want to

cross the line,

go ahead.

I'll remind you

that this land

is mine.

You have been

stealing from it

this whole time.

You can keep

whatever it is

you found.

You must have

really wanted it;

You must have

really needed it.

I hope you build with it.

I hope you flourish

being so well fed.

I'm burning the rest of it

right to the ground.

What a shame.

All that had grown here

was beautiful

and delicious.

Look at it now.

Who was it

that started this fire?

What a

fucking

clown.

You want to start it,

I'll finish it.
