Natural Beauty in India

Appreciate and preserves the natural places

By Seema PatelPublished 26 days ago 1 min read
A place in Meghalaya, India @Seema

You may have heard of exotic places,

and may be put in bucket list,

but I am sure that in our own homelands

there are beauty that's worth appreciation.

That's Meghalaya, a remote state in India,

it means “abode of the clouds", for its heavy rains.

It has magnificent natural beauty,

with flora, and fauna bounty.

Just see how the river tumbles down rocky terrain,

with lush green all around, and tiny houses tucked in them.

Imagine finishing chores, and sitting on the shore,

watching the sunset, listening to the water.

How peaceful that feels, just to imagine!

I encourage all, to appreciate places

in the neck of the woods,

and to be responsible, to not to pollute,

but to admire and protect

they do not belong to us,

but to other creatures,

and the future generations,

gently tread, be stewards.

The imagery of rivers, green hills and quiet evenings is very calming. It invites the reader to slow down and truly notice.

  • What makes me most sad is when animals lose their habitat. We humans should behave better
