Ego, the Big Bang, fills space, kills time, subdues the atmosphere
Casts long shadows where stars once shined.
Luminosity of speckled stardust dimmed, unnoticed in the glow of the self-absorbed orbit.
Invisible becomes the worth of others, as they bask in the center, a sun in their own universe.
Pulling all the oxygen out of a room, as if by force. The gravity!
Silently, victim’s esteem erodes in the penumbra,
Each careful calculation meant to cast a shadow of doubt.
