I trusted you yet you deceived me instead.
Sought out validation from you,
Trusted you with dear secrets,
Reached out to empty hands.
Anytime you needed someone I was there,
Cared for everything you wanted.
Trying to pick up the pieces,
I'm doing this all alone.
Only you will never know that
Narcissism will destroy you.

Narcissists cannot help themselves, they are unaware of their idiosyncratic ways. I have met a few in my days. It is one of life's little hurtful things. The are master manipulators, best to run away from them. Seriously. Let words heal the scars. Let life breathe fresh living.
