My Truth Doesn't Hurt
Just because it hurts doesn't mean that it's the truth.

You watch baseless propaganda
On your American TV.
Tell me, “you’re always on that phone!”
While you stay glued to that screen.
I point out every fallacy,
Every hypocritical claim.
But you keep spouting nonsense,
Why have you no shame?
Just because it hurts
Doesn’t mean that it’s the truth;
You can throw around hateful lies
Without an ounce of proof.
So now every time you utter
Something crude and rude; uncivil,
I’ll write you into tangled webs
And drown out your jarring drivel.

Caitlyn Wenzel
I don't live to write, I write to live.
Poetry is what I need in order to feel human again, and again.
Let me transform the unspeakable.
I hope my words can reach you.
