My true colours

By Lina Warner

By Lorelai WarnerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Imagine a wide ocean, desolate, except for one miniature shimmering and truly magnificent fish. Amongst the waves it swims slowly, and with its astonishing true colours, turning its lonely world; Into an underwater palace, streaming with flecks of ombré and gold.

That fish…...is me.

In a world where nothing seems the same as it used to be, I let myself wander off into a place that you can only visit in your dreams. A wonderland filled with not only Alice, but giant cats, unimaginable libraries and broken mysteries. Whilst some see the ink on the pages of their book, I see a world of wonder, just for me. I also see castles being built up from a blank sheet of rubble, through the stories that I write.

For a life without imagination and thousands of colourful fish, life’s not worth living.
