"My Toy Is Gone"

Emotional poem

"My Toy Is Gone"

I gave you my marble,
My crayon, my string—
You said you would stay,
You promised me spring.

We built little castles
With pillows and dreams,
But now you're just silence
And faraway things.

I wait by the window,
My hands on the pane—
The rain knows my name now,
It falls just the same.

I don’t understand it,
What did I do wrong?
I just wanted friendship…
And you were my song.
