My Three Gems

A mother's silent promise, beyond distance and time

By Rohitha LankaPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

My three gems

I tried so hard

How can I make my mother happy

That's why I was holding on to her breath

It's so hard for me to breathe

My children

My whole body hurts, even if I don't tell them

Father is not here alone

It's so bad that he left and didn't tell me

He told me one day

After all the suffering, you made me grow up

And he said that when he saw my two girls and a boy

My tiredness will subside without knowing gold

I dreamed that we were so

Beautiful for the three of you

Don't look for a chicken to drink, mother

When someone fills the three small bags with love, when you cry

Don't look for ourselves at night

Cuddle with someone close to you and cry

In a dream, we come closer

Then, smiling with love, in our sleep

Little by little, we grow up without knowing

Thinking of protecting each other

When we receive the flower amulet

If you come, you won't be able to bathe, mother

Life is still far away You

I'm sorry for the one who got away quickly

I almost ran

But I can't get far from here, my dears

That night, I told the driver

Let's go a little slowly, be careful

Then we're all still close

That's why I scolded my father a little while later

So my heart

For now, I'll stay like this

No matter where you are, I'll be with you

I'll protect you, I'll keep an eye on you wherever you go......
