My Rock

Poem

By K. ExumPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

My Rock

Always there when I need a schooling

When around I can’t help but start fooling

But you know what to say in a time of need

I broke down and told you about my attempts

I could hear the tremble in your voice

It’s hard not to remember the stutter in your voice

I thought my words about it was just noise

But I can tell you wanted to cry

Never thought about how you would have felt if I died

How you would have cried for your only boy

Who would you have watched those movies with?

I was only thinking about myself

Something I wish others did

But my life gone would have left you sick

I don’t even know if you can feel in the afterlife but I know I would have been destroyed

I don’t even think like that no more

Because you’re my rock but I’m yours too

I love you
