My Recipe for Invisibility
For "Instructions for Disappearing" Challenge
People donβt mistakenly forget me
My overwhelming story and personality
Doesn't slip from their functioning mental faculties
They purposely misplace all recollection
Of the burning decimation left
In the wake of my controlled release and recapturing
βΉβπ₯βｑ°β©βΉβπ₯βｑ°β©βΉβπ₯βｑ°β©
They nervously deny any involvement
In the terrorized flight across the country that
Posed as my childhood and adolescence
Β° ΰΌππ»ββοΈββΛ έ βΉ . έΛ
I don't know why you would
Want to replicate my results
But I can tell you how I do it
How I walk through life a
Disaster zone undetected
Β° ΰΌβΛ έ βΉ . έΛ π Β° ΰΌββΛ έ βΉ . έ
First, I answer every question put to me
Honesty is only a virtue in theory
The average citizen starts to
Squeam and squirm, breaking
Under the heat of truth's beating sun
βββ ββ βΌβ β βββ
Second, I accomplish every task presented
Nothing generates jealous hate
Like being the first to scrub your plate
It matters not if rewards are lost or gained
Don't look back, leave them working
Gritting their teeth
βββ ββ πβ β βββ
Next, I question everything
Red and yellow flags, even green
Over-understanding leads to ostracizing
Intelligence doesn't breed madness, showing it
Engenders whispers in the night

After a while, you will find
You've become invisible
Walking the world
Solving problems
Asking questions
No one seems to see or hear

Argentoβs ninth (eighteenth in earth years) Birthday came and went Thursday, the thirteenth, and heβd already received his fatherβs gift, if you could call it that. You had to commit a fairly serious infraction to be cut off; the Arch-Baron was keeping up appearances and maintaining his own reputation as much as any sense of love or attachment to Argento with his βgift.β
